How McCoy de Leon planned sweet surprise for Elisse Joson?
During the Hashtags’ "Roadtrip" concert last Saturday, September 24, fans of the slowly growing love team of McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson (McLisse) were treated to a super kilig surprise.
While they were doing their spiels after a dance number together, McCoy suddenly went backstage and retrieved a grey puppy and gave it to Elisse.
Fans went wild over the sweet gesture, and even Elisse lost words and only smiled widely at McCoy.
When Hashtags fellow member Nikko asked what the name of the dog would be, she said, “Hmm… siguro McMc!”
Elisse explained why she chose the name in an exclusive interview with starcinema.com.ph.
“Naisip ko agad sa stage, kasi ‘yung name namin ni McCoy, magkaparehas. [Siya] Marc Carlos, ako naman Maria Chriselle. So MC-MC, kaya McMc,” she shared.
Elisse also related that she was speechless when McCoy came out with the puppy.
“Wala… akong nasabi kanina kasi wala naman sa prompter ‘yun. Sabi niya ‘wait lang, teka lang,’ so naisip ko… baka may pa-flowers or something, tapos nagulat ako paglabas niya, aso pala.”
Meanwhile, McCoy related that it was their "Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7" co-housemate DJ ChaCha who gave him an idea for the surprise.
“[Sabi niya sa’kin] ‘uy puwede mo ‘tong ibigay kay Elisse, ‘yung puppy,’” he shared. “Tapos ako na ‘yung kumausap sa breeder, binigyan ko ng tickets [para sa concert], inayos ko talaga.”
He's thrilled that Elisse liked the surprise he prepared for her. “
Ang goal ko naman talaga is mapasalamatan siya dahil sa mga blessings na dumadating sa amin," he added.
When they were asked if they already have dates for the upcoming Star Magic Ball, they both said they don't have... yet.
“Hindi pa kami nag-uusap [ni Elisse] pero… maaga pa, ewan ko kung ano mangyayari," McCoy related. Everyone’s surely hoping they’ll go together!
