LOOK: Is McCoy de Leon the new Coco Martin?
After Hashtags member McCoy de Leon posted a video of himself impersonating Coco Martin’s character Pong from “You’re My Boss” last month, a lot of netizens have commented that he looks like the multi-awarded actor.
The number of comparisons grew when McCoy got a stint on “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano," which Coco topbills.
In an interview with “Bandila” last night, September 28, McCoy related how he felt being compared to everyone’s favorite policeman.
“Nakaka-overwhelm talaga,” he said. “Idol ko talaga si Kuya Coco, hindi lang 'yung [pag-arte] niya, pati 'yung personality niya mismo.”
His onscreen partner Elisse Joson, who was with him during the interview, added in jest, “Pati 'yung leather jacket niya (Coco), idol ni McCoy."
