Maxene Magalona on Edgar Allan Guzman: I've met his GF

Maxene Magalona has denied speculation that her onscreen romance with Edgar Allan Guzman, her co-performer in "Your Face Sounds Familiar," is also the same behind the cameras.

In an interview on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" that aired Friday, the 28-year-old actress said she is acquainted with Guzman's current girlfriend, TV5 talent Shaira Mae dela Cruz.

"I've met her doon sa set ng show namin, and I respect their relationship," she said.

On "Your Face Sounds Familiar," Magalona and Guzman are often seen playing along with comments that they would make a good couple. They were even paired up for a performance in a recent episode of the weekend program.

Magalona explained: "It's just, there are people, there are fans who really enjoy 'yung love team namin, especially when we did 'The Grease' duet. It's just really pang-katuwaan lang and I respect Shaira Mae and their relationship."

"Your Face Sounds Familiar" airs on Saturdays of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" and Sundays after "Rated K."
