Jennylyn Mercado, Maria Ozawa, Valeen Montenegro Shine Brightest in FHM Party
Displaying the form that catapulted her to the top of FHM Philippines’ 100 Sexiest Women list this year, a luminous Jennylyn Mercado was a picture of confidence at the highlight of the traditional FHM victory party now renamed Bro-Con held Saturday at the SMX Convention Center.
Jennylyn, who also performed a song and dance number to the delight of the predominantly male audience, was not the only one who sizzled on and off the runway that night.
Retired Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa, who graced the magazine’s cover last June and promptly debuted in the coveted list at number 16, was among those who drew the loudest cheers. Ditto for TV5 star Valeen Montenegro who is FHM’s cover girl for this month and ranked number 24 this year.
Another TV5 star, Alice Dixson, who was in the Top 10 last year and dropped to number 14 this year, was also a welcome presence at the party. The prized actress acted as backstage host but did not walk the runway.
Other TV5 stars who made it this year were Ritz Azul (No. 36) who made a lot of jaws drop with her sexy construction worker outfit and Sports5 broadcaster and PBA courtside reporter Mara Aquino (No. 88). “KISPinoy” host and star of Digital5’s “Tanods” and “Jinrilationships” Jinri Park earlier tweeted that she wouldn’t be at the party because she was going to Europe.
Patricia Javier, one of the big comeback stories and FHM’s cover girl last April, also turned up the heat during her turn in the spotlight.
Also, among the 100 Sexiest that made their respective splashes include Daiana Menezes, Phoemela Baranda, Aubrey Miles, Bangs Garcia, Aiko Climaco, Meg Imperial, Sunshine Garcia, Abby Poblador, Sanya Smith, Ornusa Cadness, Pauleen So, Maica Palo, Red dela Cruz and Lhea Bernardino.
Ellen Adarna was also in the audience but did not participate in this year’s program as she said she was there to give moral support to her friend, Beauty Gonzalez, who landed at number 41 on the list.
Also a revelation that night is former “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition” winner Myrtle Sarrosa who appeared all grown up and ready for her closeup. Myrtle’s presence more than made-up for the absence of fellow cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
But aside from Jennylyn, volleyball superstar Rachel Ann Daquis and, okay, Ellen Adarna, no other member of this year’s Top 10 was present in the event especially Jennylyn’s fellow GMA talents Andrea Torres (No. 2), Sam Pinto (No. 4), Solenn Heussaff (No. 5) and Max Collins (No. 9).
