"The Half Sisters" posts high rating for a daytime drama series
MORE and more viewers are hooked with the exciting developments in GMA Network’s The Half Sisters as the afternoon prime drama continues to dominate its timeslot with increasing high numbers nationwide, according to the more widely recognized TV ratings data supplier Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
The Half Sisters has been delivering consistent high ratings since in its pilot airing last June 2014, not only in viewer rich Urban Luzon and Mega Manila but also across National Urban Philippines. The intriguing series is the number 1 daytime drama show in the country to date.
Based on household ratings data recorded in National Urban Philippines for (March 16-20 based on overnight data), The Half Sisters scored a rating of 18.5 percent, leading ABS-CBN’s Flor De Liza's 11.5 percent by 7 points.
In Urban Luzon, which comprises 77 of national urban television households, The Half Sisters made a definite win over its counterpart programs in ABS-CBN. It registered a rating of 21.9 percent,11.4 higher than Flor De Liza's 10.5 percent.
The afternoon prime series likewise led in Mega Manila, which represents 60 percent of urban TV households in the country, after generating a rating of 22.3 percent, while Flor De Liza's trailed behind by 12.6 points with only 9.7 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile for ABS-CBN's "bailiwick" in Urban Visayas and Urban Mindanao, The Half Sisters also registered high rating. It scored 14.5 higher than ABS-CBN's Flor de Liza's 13.9
The Half Sisters will now air up to May this year with more plot twists to be revealed in the succeeding episode according to GMA Afternoon Prime Creative Consultant Dode Cruz.
