ABS-CBN is still the most-watched TV Network in the Philippines.

ABS-CBN is still the most-watched TV network in the Philippines, posting a double-digit lead in percentage against rival network GMA-7 from September 1 to October 13.

Covering both urban and rural homes, ABS-CBN recorded a national average audience share of 45.7 percent, or a 12-percentage point lead over GMA’s 33.6 percent in the period, according to data provided by Kantar Media.


For the whole month of September, the Kapamilya station also kept its leadership in terms of nationwide television viewership with an average audience share of 46 percent, compared to GMA’s 34 percent.

Eight out of the top 10 most watched programs last month were produced by ABS-CBN led by the Coco Martin-starrer “Ang Probinsyano” with an average national TV rating of 39.2 percent at the first spot.


The Kapamilya Network likewise led in Total Luzon with an average audience share of 41 percent vs GMA’s 37 percent; in Total Visayas with 55 percent vs GMA’s 26 percent; in Total Mindanao with 58 percent vs GMA’s 28 percent; in Total Balance Luzon with 49 percent vs GMA’s 35 percent; and in Metro Manila with 37 percent vs GMA’s 33 percent.

Aside from dominating the traditional TV ratings, ABS-CBN also led in the digital platform through its pioneering video-on-demand service iWant TV.
