The Voice Kids Philippines Battle Rounds 2016: "I Won't Give Up" by Hans, Justin & Mai-Mai
A 12-year-old boy, who has been dubbed this season's "Comeback Kid," will be moving on the next round after his performance on Sunday's battle rounds.
Kamp Kawayan's Romalyn "Mai-Mai" Quezon, Hans Santos and Justin Alva went head-to-head with Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up," using their personal battles as their inspiration for their performance.
Coaches Sharon Cuneta and Lea Salonga both picked Alva as the best performer among the three. Their coach Bamboo Mañalac praised the performance of all three artists, but agreed that Alva's performance stood out from his teammates.
Alva was a contestant in the previous season of "The Voice Kids," but failed to move past the blind auditions.
By the end of Sunday's episode, four young artists were added to the list of contestants who will be competing against each other in the Sing Offs.
Aside from Alva, Kenneth Bardinas will also be competing in the next round as part of Kamp Kawayan. Meanwhile, Ian Prelligera will be representing Cuneta's team, while Kate Escol remains part of FamiLea.
"The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
