The Voice Kids Philippines 2016 Blind Auditions: "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin" by Alvin
A 13-year-old boy from Davao City wowed coaches of the third season of "The Voice Kids" when he reached the whistle tone during his blind audition.
Alvin Dahan, who hails from the coastal town of Bucana, performed Lani Misalucha's "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin." It earned him the only three-chair salute of Saturday's episode.
"You have a gift but to be honest, it still needs a lot of polish," said coach Bamboo Mañalac. "Iyong pito was good, but my point is, we have to be a complete singer."
"I want you to come to my team and be a complete artist. I want to teach you how to use that instrument," the rock icon added.
Megastar Sharon Cuneta said Dahan's voice was "very beautiful."
"Pag binigyan mo ako ng pagkakataon maging coach mo, lahat noong natutunan ko mula sa pagiging singer hanggang sa pagiging artista ay ibabahagi ko sa iyo para magkaroon ka ng emosyon lalo na sa pagkanta mo."
Broadway star Lea Salonga brought out light sabers to woo the boy. "I don't know kung ano ang puwede ko pa ituro sa iyo dahil ang galing-galing mo lang," she said.
Dahan went with his "idol" Cuneta, becoming the eight member of the screen veteran's roster of young artists. He was Cuneta's only recruit of the night.
Salonga, meanwhile, added two more singers, taking her total to nine. Mañalac, who only has three recruits so far, managed to convince 9-year-old Hans Gerald Santos to join his team by the end of the episode.
"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
