Young Actress and UAAP Cheerdance Host Sofia Andres reacts to bashers.
Young actress Sofia Andres admitted that she was affected by all the negative comments she received for hosting this year’s UAAP Cheerdance Competition.
However, she told entertainment site PEP.ph on Sunday that she never read any of the criticisms.
“Hindi ko talaga siya binabasa. Nakikita ko lang kasi my friends are sending me a lot of pictures, ‘Wala ka raw energy that time, boring daw.' Okay. Ganun naman palagi kapag may gagawin ka, palaging may masasabi. Even wala kang ginagawa [may masasabi]. Ganun talaga,” she said.
Andres explained that she was really nervous when she found out that over 20,000 students and alumni will be watching the event.
“Hindi ko talaga ini-expect na ganun karami ang tao. I’m not really used to host. Hindi ko rin masyadong naano 'yung bashers kasi laging mayroon at mayroon. Nobody’s perfect,” she said.
Andres said she will just charge it to experience.
“Nabalitaan ko nga lahat ng hosts ay bina-bash. Walang perfect sa kanila. Nagulat ako na trending na pala ako. There’s room for improvement naman," she said.
Currently, Andres is part of the ABS-CBN Sunday variety program “ASAP.” She revealed that she will also work on a television series soon.
