The Voice Kids Philippines 2016 Blind Auditions: "I'm Not The Only One" by Mark

An 11-year-old boy from Nueva Ecija became the latest member of Bamboo Mañalac's Kamp Kawayan on Sunday's episode of "The Voice Kids."

Mark Ahron Cabalona performed Sam Smith's "I'm Not The Only One" and both Mañalac and Sharon Cuneta turned for him at the last minute.

According to Mañalac, he heard Cabalona's potential when he started singing the high notes.

"Yung umpisa, to be honest, was not very good, pero nung umangat 'yung kanta, may narinig ako sa boses mo. At least I know may range ka, and there's a certain quality na gusto ko sa boses mo," he added.

Cuneta, for her part, said: "Ang tip ko lang sa 'yo, Ahron, ganito. Kunyari 'pag kumanta tayo ng Tagalog, talagang Tagalog ang salita natin, ang susundin natin. Kahit anong language, kailangan 'yung original na umawit, bibigyan natin ng talagang, parang tribute 'pag nagko-cover ka ng kanta ng iba eh."

Cabalona eventually chose to be part of Mañalac's team, becoming his first recruit of the night.

"The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
