The Voice Kids Philippines 2016 Blind Auditions: "Because Of You" by Maegan.
A young girl from Bulacan who joined to overcome her stage fright became Broadway star Lea Salonga's second recruit on Sunday's episode of "The Voice Kids."
Maegan Frondoso performed Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You," making all three coaches turn for her.
Bamboo Mañalac, who turned at the last minute, thinks the song was too much for Frondoso, but believed she can still improve.
"Overall, what I'm saying, if you choose me as your coach, there's a lot of work to do but I think it's a matter of anong pipiliin nating kanta," he added.
"Maganda 'yung timbre ng boses mo. Oo, napansin nga naming lahat na may piyok, especially dun sa huli na parang kinakapos ka na ng hangin. The song was a bit too much, for now," Lea Salonga told Frondoso.
Sharon Cuneta, for her part, said: "Anak, huwag kang mawawalan ng loob doon sa pumiyok ka. It happens to the best of us."
Frondoso eventually chose to be part Salonga's team as one of the Broadway star's two recruits of the night.
"The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
