In a rare TV moment, Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre shared the stage on “ASAP 20” today, May 10.
The two young stars were among those who performed during the opening production number of the Kapamilya Sunday variety show.
Kathryn and Nadine sang Viva Hot Babes’ “Bulaklak” along with Kim Chiu and Julia Barretto.
Respectively successful and well-admired in their own rights, Kathryn and Nadine have been compared to one another because of their similar physical features.
Both are also part of hit love teams, KathNiel (Kathryn with Daniel Padilla) and JaDine (Nadine with James Reid).
Nevertheless, Kathryn and Nadine both dismissed these rivalry issues in separate interviews. In “Kris TV” last year, though, Kathryn admitted that she felt awkward around Nadine because they haven’t been introduced.
“I see her pero hindi pa kami, alam mo ‘yun, nai-introduce formally so medyo awkward pa kami kasi parang wala pang nagpapakilala sa’min so nagkakahiyaan,” she said.
They apparently broke the ice today while rehearsing for their opening number for “ASAP.” They were even photographed together with Julia, the snapshot of which was uploaded on “ASAP’s” Instagram account (@asapofficial).
