Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla in ICU over Gunshot wound.

Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla was rushed to the hospital Saturday after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest.

According to Clifford Elorde, media officer of Senator Bong Revilla, the younger Revilla sustained the gunshot wound at around 9 a.m. inside his father's house, which he frequently visits.

Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado's talent manager, Lolit Solis, said Revilla's gunshot wound appeared to be "self-inflicted."

Solis, in a phone interview with ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual, noted that Revilla has been suffering from depression due to the recent events involving his father, Sen. Bong Revilla, including the legal moves to transfer the detained lawmaker to a regular prison cell and the garnishment of his assets.

The latest issue involving the senator is his alleged sneaking out of detention cell to drop by the 91st birthday celebration of fellow detained Senator Juan Ponce Enrile at the Phililippine National Police General Hospital last February 14.

Sen. Revilla is currently detained at the PNP Custodial Center for graft and plunder in connection with the pork barrel scam.

The younger Revilla, who is now in a stable condition, is confined at the intensive care unit of Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa City.
